The place looks amazing, credit to you all! Really hope to come back again soon... we haven't been cheating on you, holidays have become a non-event in the last few years, apart from the odd night camping. We really wouldn't come to the Lakes and stay anywhere else xxx

Stayed here for one night in October four people in our party,lovely friendly place more than happy to help,both rooms were delightful,one of which was the attic room lovely veiw from up here!Very clean and tidy with big comfy beds.Fantastic breakfast,plenty of it with good quality produce!Will definatly be returning and recommending to friends.

Stayed here for 1 night on way home from Keswick :o}
Lovely hotel some really quirky rooms I was up in the attic and it was a delightful room
Hosts are so friendly, informative and a mine of information
Safe parking a definite plus in Ambleside
Breakfast yummy
Being able to use the Spa facilities at nearby hotel - priceless Only prob if you go earlu=y is that you have to drag yourself away to go and have breakfast
Cannot recommend hotel and proprietors highly enough
I shall certainly be paying a return visit(s) for longer than a night

Thank you so much for a very enjoyable few days in June. Our family group particularly enjoyed the familial atmosphere of Smallwood House, and wanted to thank you for your flexibility and assistance enabling us to take back some very special memories.
Smallwood House offers a central location, very comfortable surroundings, and an engaged and amenable staff. The offer of the pool and spa use of the nearby Salutation Hotel is a definitive bonus!
Thoroughly recommended.

Me and my partner have been visiting Smallwood House for many years.

With its warm friendly staff and and relaxing atmosphere it is like home from home every visit. Easy safe parking, exultant breakfast and located on the door step the lake district this is the perfect start to any walking holiday.

I always recommend it to my close friends and family. I have also recommended this hotel for a loverly getaway to my customers over the years as i am a self employed gardener, i have yet to receive any complaints and i still have lots of loyal customers!

we will be back yet again in October, looking forward room number 10!
